Description: This mural was inspired by the artistÔÇÖs time spent with her Children and youth at Orchard Park. The hills, forests and escarpment to the north make this park feel special. The natural landforms lift this park above the busy neighborhood. The mural captures the area's past, when this land grew apples and other fruit to feed people. It is still serving the residents of the area, students and visiting sports teams with much needed recreational space. It is important to remember the past and make a connection to the present. Look closely and you will see the faces of Burlington residents in the apples in the mural, to reinforce the connection between the environment and the community.
